February 28th, 2014

Though this past week has been really hectic, it has been nice to be able to look back at all the things I have been able to do this week.

I'm especially thankful for this guy who shows me that not all guys are the same, and I'm thankful for that.

Stay positive, LG.

February 21st-27th, 2014

It's been a crazy and stressful week hence why I haven't posted in so long.

After a crazy hectic and stressful week I'm happy to say that it's been officially a year since I got offered my job at camp burnt gin.

It's been a wild ride of a year, but I've grown up a lot since this time last year and I am so thankful for being given the opportunities I have received.

Be safe,
LG.

February 20th, 2014

Today's Thursday. And you know what that means.

Chicken finger night in the caf.

Probably the busiest night in the caf all week. Besides Sunday lunch.

Needless to say, it's been a hectic day.

But I'm thankful for the past that I have because one certain person made me realize today how much better off I am without him.

When you text me and say, "so are you not gonna talk to me?" don't expect me to give you any respect when you didn't give me any to begin with. And no, that was not a threat that my dad would be at the door, that was a promise.

"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven." -Matthew 5:43

God bless America,

LG.

February 18th, 2014

Today I'm thankful for some amazing teachers at Anderson University.

My science lab today was playing pool, ping pong, and foosball, and looking at the motion involved.

Next week we are going bowling.

How stinkin' awesome is that?

Anyways, here's to Dr. Rains and his Italian squeeze on todays fun lab day.

February 16th and 17th, 2014

So this weekend was literally spent hanging with friends and watching House of Cards which is a political show produced by Netflix.

So needless to say, whether you like politics or drama this show has all of it in one and it's freaking AWESOME.

literally.

But anyways, it's hard getting back into the "swing of things" after practically a whole week of snow. I'm honestly thankful for the staff here at AU and how they all did whatever they could to take care of the students here. It's honestly amazing how blessed the students are here with the faculty we have.

But here's a picture into the glimpse of my life for Sunday and Monday :)

Love endlessly,

LG.

February 14th and 15th, 2014

These two days I didn't worry about a "significant other" I was so blessed to spend the days with friends that I forgot about every other pointless thing happening.

Thank you God for some amazing friends.

Extremely. Blessed.

February 11th & 12th, 2014

What an amazing two snow days so far, and we still have one more to go.

I'm so blessed to go to an amazing school where professors search for the best ways possible to help their students, and the university as a whole is a family of believers.

I LOVE MY SCHOOL,

LG.

February 10th, 2014

Today, my roommate and I haven't been feeling well at all. Though we haven't felt good, we are both so blessed to have not only each other, but amazing friends to take care of us when we aren't feeling our best.

Lovin my girls,

LG.

February 9th, 2014

So today for the first time in awhile, I was able to go to my home church.

After seeing so many amazing faces, especially of close friends, and those who I've missed who have watched me grow up, I am blessed to be surrounded by a family of faith.

Trinity started out as the Fellowship of Amazing love, and that's all it will ever be to me.

February 8th, 2014

After volunteering all day for the Hopes and Dreams conference, I realized how blessed I am to be called to such an amazing profession like Special Education, I mean look at these faces, how could you not be in love?

Forever changed,

LG.

February 7th, 2014

Today I'm thankful for Emily, Kevin, and Nicky. Though our original connection didn't work out, I'm still thankful that I have them to be there for me whenever.

I got to hang out with them tonight, and I realized how blessed I am to have them in my life. They have always been so welcoming, and accepting to me.

I love being able to go over to their house, and just hang out and talk and watch the olympics. I know they will always be there if I need them.

February 6th, 2014

So I've been fighting this terrible headache all day. Come to find out I'm pretty sure I have an ear infection. #boo

Anyways. Today I'm thankful for my best friend Micah. Micah has always been there for me since we became friends. He's such a great listener, and he always knows how to cheer me up.

Micah and I have an odd relationship. One that's not normal. But Micah and I would do anything for each other and that will never change.

I've been so busy since school started I've barely been able to see him. It was nice to sit down and have a great conversation with him.

Micah offers that irreplaceable relationship that you can rarely find. I can literally trust Micah with anything and he will always be honest with me and vice versa.

February 5th, 2014

What an amazing day here on the campus of Anderson University.

Clayton and Sharie King came to campus worship today and dove deep into our student body.

It's amazing to have such an amazing Godly couple be so involved with our campus. The fact that they truly care about our students, and how we are doing, and what is going on not only on campus but in our personal lives is so amazing.

Clayton and Sharie announced today that in August of this year that their family and team from Crossroads Ministries will be moving to make a new home in Anderson South Carolina, as well as having their ministerial offices on the campus of Anderson University.

The blessings that this couple gives to this university is much more meaningful than a monetary donation. They truly care about this university and everyone involved in it.

It just amazes me at how much they give and serve others.

Matthew 5:3
"Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven."

2 Corinthians 9:7
"Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

If you haven't had a chance to check out some of the Kings ministry, go to

I stand amazed,

What a blessing to have teachers who care about you truthfully.

Those teachers who truly want to help you dive deeper in your walk with God.

Those teachers who always start class off with a devotion.

Those teachers who know you by name.

Those teachers who actually pray for you daily.

What an amazing feeling to be loved by those who teach you.

Amazed,

LG

February 3rd, 2014

Today I'm thankful for humor. Probably the only thing helping me get through Mondays.

I'm in class from 9-4 and have SGA at 7 on Mondays.

Mondays are long and I rarely get through them without a nap. Humor definitely helps make class more bearable and go by quicker.

Thanks to friends.

Be blessed,

Lg.

Ps here's a picture of an "epic hero" I drew in class today.

February 1st and 2nd, 2014

This week will be a tough one. I have 3 tests, among other projects to begin, and finish.

I know these posts keep getting shorter, but I'm trying my hardest to keep up. I refuse to quit.

Blessed to go to a university that is like a family.
Blessed to go to a university that prays together.
Blessed to go to a university that supports each other.
Simply put, I'm blessed.

Too blessed, to be stressed.

LG.
